World Book Day
World Book Day saw lots of excited children dressed up as all manner of characters from their favourite books…. lots of Harry Potters, a smatter of Where’s Wally and lots of David Walliams’ characters too.
We were lucky to have author, Ciaran Murtagh, visit us once again. He has written a number of children’s books as well as programmes including Mr Bean, Shawn the Sheep and DangerMouse. He read from his works and shared his top tips with the children.
The children became authors, the Juniors planning their own stories and the Seniors developing their own characters. They all impressed with their enthusiasm, engagement and far-fetched ideas...!
Thank you to Ciaran for another inspiring visit and to our parents who had clearly spent a lot of time organising their children’s outfits: they looked terrific!
