Library
Located at the heart of the school in the Mansion, the Ashfold Library is a welcoming space where children can browse, borrow, and enjoy books throughout the school day.
We encourage pupils to use the library for:
- Quiet reading and independent study
- Exploring different authors and genres
- Research and discovery
Our extensive collection caters to all interests and reading levels, including fiction, non-fiction, magazines, and newspapers. Specialist software allows children to search for books and even write their own reviews.
Library Lessons & Support
- Pre-Prep pupils enjoy a weekly library lesson, where staff help them select books to take home.
- Older pupils are encouraged to browse independently, with our librarian on hand to offer recommendations and guidance.
Bringing Books to Life
We regularly host events to inspire a love of reading, including:
- Author visits
- Book fairs
- Drama workshops
- Celebrations of World Book Day & National Poetry Day
