Scholars visit the Oxford Playhouse
Our Scholars’ Club was privileged to be invited to go behind the scenes on a trip to the Oxford Playhouse.
They learnt about how a ‘receiving house’ like the Playhouse makes its money and what a typical week in the theatre is like.
The Scholars saw the props and flats; how the lighting and sound are organised and took a peek on stage. After lunch, the children enthusiastically took part in a raft of exercises on physicality and movement in the theatre’s lovely rehearsal space.
Thank you to the Playhouse for a very informative and fun day out.
