Boarding - Week 8

It was lovely to welcome all our boarders back after the half term break, fresh- faced and raring to go.

We’ve enjoyed another eventful week on the Boarding Wing with den building, Murder in the Dark, and The Brit Awards! It was especially nice seeing all the children gathered in the Common Room watching The Brits with their tuck and popcorn singing along to the tunes.

Storm Doris made her presence known on Thursday morning when we awoke to find we had no power. Everyone had been looking forward to a Full English but had to make do with cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt (not that bad really)! Needless to say, power was quickly restored and the school day proceeded as normal.

My favourite comment of the week – “Mrs James, It’s my birthday in 2 weeks and 16 days”. Oh how I love my job!
