Pre-Prep I visit College Farm
Pre-Prep I enjoyed a wonderfully wet and muddy trip to College Farm in Long Crendon.
Travelling in the minibuses was very exciting and arriving to the pungent smells of the farm was a treat for the senses! The children were shown the cows, calves and pigs. They fed the chickens and inspected the newly laid eggs. A visit to the barn allowed them to see a huge pile of barley, another of oats and to their delight, they were allowed to climb into a tractor. After a picnic lunch, the children petted the new farm puppies, then collected some oats and went into the sheep field to feed the sheep and lambs.
Most exciting of all was the plentiful supply of squishy muddy puddles! Everyone delighted in jumping and splashing in these at every opportunity!
It was a very successful trip and I am most grateful to our many willing parent helpers.
