Form III visit Henley River and Rowing Museum

Form III visited Henley for a very wet but enjoyable trip to the River & Rowing Museum.

The children had a classroom session in which they consolidated and built on their knowledge of river systems and the water cycle, learning the significance of such words as permeable, impermeable and saturated. They then went for a walk along the river and saw features such as the floodplain (thoroughly saturated!), a confluence, the weir and a working lock.
