Artists think outside the box
Artists in our Art Masterclass group created sensational artwork from ‘found objects’ including Altoid tins, milk cartons and toast.
In a series of tasks designed to test their imagination and creative skills, each child was given an empty Altoid tin and instructed to incorporate the tin in a piece of art.
The children were also challenged to do the same with a ‘found object’ (i.e. an object or product that is not normally considered material from which art is made).
The group enjoyed thinking outside the box and the results were both quirky and original.
On completion of the tasks, each child presented their work to the group, explaining where they got their idea from, how they made their piece and how they could have done it better. The children commented on each other’s work and exchanged feedback.
