Getting creative in DT

The DT Room has been a hub of activity this term with children exploring exciting ideas and mastering new skills to create unique and eye-catching work.

Form V combined different skills, including sawing and soldering, to make vibrant Hokusai-inspired buzzwire games. As well as using the fret saws, pillar drills and glue guns, they put a circuit together to complete their games.

Meanwhile, Form I designed and made vehicles to catch a yeti monster! They learned how to make axles, by safely using the junior hacksaws and cool melt glue guns, and made the body of the vehicle with the vacuum former. Afterwards, they customised their vehicles and evaluated their projects.
