Ashfold Joins The Stowe Group

We are delighted to announce that Ashfold School will be joining The Stowe Group, which includes Stowe School, Swanbourne House School, and Winchester House School.

As a Prep School with a proud history dating back to 1927, Ashfold has been situated in Dorton, Buckinghamshire, since 1955. Joining The Stowe Group as its third Prep School is a natural progression for Ashfold. With a long tradition of sending pupils to Stowe School, our shared ethos and values make this an ideal partnership.

The Stowe Group is well known for its Change Maker ethos, preparing pupils for a fast-changing world. Stowe School has demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering innovative teaching and transformational learning experiences, helping pupils develop the attitudes and behaviours needed to thrive. We are excited to share in this vision and contribute to this forward-thinking approach to education.

As part of The Stowe Group, we will benefit from shared strategic leadership, enhanced teaching and learning initiatives, professional development for staff, cost efficiencies, and access to a seamless educational pathway from ages 3 to 18. This collaboration will strengthen our ability to provide the highest quality education while maintaining the unique identity and traditions that have defined Ashfold for nearly a century.

Families who choose to continue their child’s education at Stowe School from one of The Stowe Group’s Prep Schools, including Ashfold, benefit from significant fee discounts. These include a 10% reduction in boarding fees and a 5% reduction in day fees for the full five years at Stowe. Additionally, families with three or more children enrolled across the Group enjoy a further 5% discount.

Ashfold will continue to prepare pupils for a range of academic pathways. Stowe School remains committed to welcoming pupils from a diverse range of Prep Schools, with more than 40 schools represented in its 2024 entry year groups.

We are excited about the opportunities this partnership brings for our pupils, parents, and staff, and we look forward to being an integral part of The Stowe Group’s future.
