Boarding - Week 4

It’s been another action-packed few weeks on the Boarding Wing!

Our golfers enjoyed the opportunity to see how far they could drive the ball at the local driving range. There was a lot of competition as they battled it out for both distance and speed!

Meanwhile rehearsals for the Senior Musical continue in earnest. The children are putting an amazing amount of energy into what can only be described as ‘West End’ quality.

Tuesday and Thursday night shooters continue to shine with extremely impressive scorecards. It really is amazing how sharp they all are.

Over in Cookery Club, they’ve been busy making Gingerbread Men and Rocky Road - very tasty indeed.

On visiting, Warhammer/Model Club, I was very impressed at the levels of both concentration and conversation. Not only is Warhammer a very intricate and impressive world of fantasy and imagination, it’s also extremely sociable.

In celebration of Australia Day, our Wednesday night boarders were treated to Fairy Bread, courtesy of our new Aussie Gap student, Winnie. N.B. Fairy Bread is a colourful creation made of bread, butter and sprinkles - definitely not something you’d find at your average afternoon tea!

It was a very early start on Friday morning with 20 plus children preparing for Crazy Hair Day. I’ve had quieter mornings! The excitement was palpable and the hairdos really were crazy. Bed head at its best!
