Mystery at Magpie Manor

Form III staged a hugely enjoyable musical production of Mystery at Magpie Manor in the Saloon.

The children worked tirelessly, learning lines, rehearsing choreography and interpreting their characters to put on a fantastic show for parents. Highlights, which were plentiful, included the flapper girls in the Charleston and Elsie and Ernie’s scene about their upcoming date.

Set in the 1920s, Mystery at Magpie Manor is a pacy, energetic whodunit play. Magpie Manor is in a great state of disrepair and Lord and Lady Pica must take drastic action to save their crumbling manor house. They come up with a plan to sell off the family silver but as the rich and famous guests arrive for an auction ball, strange things are occurring and when the family heirloom is unveiled, it has disappeared! Luckily, Agatha Christie is on hand to catch the evil Inspector Spectre for his dastardly deed of stealing the Pica Pica Solid Silver Pitcher with the Magpie Picture! As Lord Pica says, ‘All’s well that ends well!’

Congratulations to the cast and crew on a terrific production.
