History Masterclass

We were delighted to welcome Dr Max von Hapsburg, Head of History at Oundle School, to deliver our first Masterclass on Thursday 29 September. 

He gave a fascinating and interactive session using Henry VIII as a way of enabling children to think about how we view historical events and how that view can change over time as evidence is re-examined.  It was fantastic to see the Saloon filled with 30 keen historians who impressed Dr von Hapsburg with their knowledge and skills.

Our Masterclasses are an exciting new opportunity open to all children in Forms IV – VI. They cover topics which may not be taught as part of the curriculum and aim to stretch the children academically and challenge them to think in different ways.
