BBOWT visit Pre-Prep II
Claire and Katherine from Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) came to visit Pre-Prep II last Thursday.
They took us into the school grounds and invited us to be Nature Detectives! Together, we followed arrows around the woods, searching for clues. We found footprints, fossils, feathers and bones. We also found a post box near the oak tree containing letters to animal families including the Cotton Tail family, Bushy Tailed family, Stripy family, Hoot family and the Prickles family.
We opened the letters and dressed up as the animals! Our letters told us how the animals moved so we practised being nibbling squirrels, prowling badgers, curled up hedgehogs, flapping owls and jumping rabbits. We found homes for the animals in the roots of the old oak tree and high up in the boughs. We provided water and food using natural materials.
We had a lovely time down in the woods and would like to thank BBOWT for their visit.
