Boarding - Week 2
A very warm welcome back to everyone and a special welcome to our new Form III boarders. It’s lovely to see so many new faces on the Boarding Wing.
It certainly promises to be a good term with lots of different evening activities on offer.
Wednesday’s Mystery Madness with Mr Hopkin and Miss Hadley got off to a great start with lots of fun and frolics in the Mansion.
On Thursday, Boys Club ran themselves ragged playing Capture the Flag and Tag with Mr MacIntosh, Mr Frise and Gap Student, Callum. Girls Club was full of glitz, glamour and gossip and girls generally having fun with Miss Haynes and Miss Hadley (I can’t wait for the fashion parade next week). Mrs Giliomee’s Culinary Delights group started with cupcakes moving swiftly onto white chocolate and apple rocky road. Yum!
Everyone enjoyed Monday evening’s golf activity - in particular George L who managed to swing the ball into the 50 yard barrel, not once but twice! Very impressive indeed. Meanwhile, Mrs MacIntosh started in earnest with Cushion Comforts and Mrs Williams got very active with Badminton. Robotics began their new project with Mr Vaan, all very top secret!
And finally, Mrs Vaan made the most delicious white chocolate rocky roads with her cookery group on Tuesday.
What a week and so much to look forward to this term!
