Summer Photography Competition
This year’s Summer Photography Competition saw entries from children in Pre-Prep through to Form VI.
The aim of the competition is to encourage children to get snapping and be as imaginative and creative as possible both with the subject matter and the composition of their photographs. Entries must relate in some way to their summer holidays.
On judging the competition, local photographer, Derek Pelling said:
““It was a real pleasure to judge this year’s Summer Photography Competition. The photographs were fantastic and there were some very inspiring and well-thought-out images. I also enjoyed seeing what the pupils got up to in their summer holidays.
It wasn't easy to pick the winners, but as with all art, it is subjective and I felt that the ones that stood out for me really deserved recognition.
Congratulations to everyone who took part.”
The photographs are now in display in the Art & Design Centre.
