Nautical Orchestral Day at Downe House

Members of our Orchestra enjoyed a fantastic day at Downe House as they ‘dived’ into the musical depths for an ‘Under the Sea’ Orchestral Day.

The day was split into sectionals and masterclasses culminating in a group performance. The children performed music composed especially for the day by Dr Alexander, Head of Composition at Downe House, as well as ‘Under the Sea’ from The Little Mermaid.

Well done to all of our musicians who learnt and performed all of the music on the day, alongside 250 musicians from 18 different prep schools.  A special mention to Angus who was awarded the Woodwind Musician of the Day prize.
