Ashfold remembers

This morning the whole school gathered together and held a two-minute silence in tribute to those who lost their lives fighting for their country, including Old Ashfoldians.

The Head Boy, Joshua, and Head Girl, Imi, read out the names of Old Ashfoldians who died in the Second World War and Eleanor (Form VI) played the Last Post and Reveille.

During a short assembly immediately beforehand, there was a moving performance by our chamber music group, Schola Cantorum, and William (Form VI) read Anthem for Doomed Youth by Wilfred Owen.
