Rosettes All Round
Ashfold’s Equestrian Team got off to a flying start this term with a string of rosettes at two local competitions.
There were very strong results across the board at Akeley Wood NSEA Show Jumping at Addington Manor on Saturday 11 November:
- 40cm – Team 3rd Team
- 50cm – Team 3rd and Individual 8th
- 70cm – Individual 1st
- 75cm - Under 19 class – Individual 1st
The event also proved excellent preparation for the NSEA Regional Championships at Bury Farm the following weekend.
The standard at the Regional Championships (a large competition) was extremely high as all the competitors had qualified in advance. However, after nine and a half hours of competition, there was further success for the Ashfold Team who came away with their best ever results and a clutch of team and individual rosettes!
- 40cm - Individual 1st, Individual 6th, Individual 7th, Team 1st and Team 5th
- 50cm - Team 3rd
- 70cm - Individual 1st
- 75cm - Individual 1st Under 19 winner: this was the highest Grass Roots class at the Championships and an incredibly difficult class to win. Alice took some dangerously tight turns in the jump-off to set an incredibly high standard that nobody could beat!
Congratulations to all our riders and thank you to their parents for such fantastic support.
