Boarding News - Week 6
My mum dropped in to visit this week and I have to say I felt very proud of the wonderful warm welcome she received from our boarders.
She did need some persuading to leave the kitchen on Monday evening though - she was rather enjoying the Australian Biscuits (an old Be-Ro recipe), courtesy of Cookery Club. Funny that Rachel (one of our Aussie Gap students) had never heard of them!
Some outstanding results from our .22 shooters on Tuesday evening with PBs (Personal Bests) this week from Ed, Bella, Olivia, Wilf and Daisy-Jane. Overall this term, our Top Shots are:
- Daisy with a Best Group of 16mm
- Daisy & Angus tying the Best Target score of 49/50
- Bella leading the Best 5-Bull target with a score of 92/100
Great to have a squad of 8 boys and girls shooting this term and some outstanding results already.
Climbing Club have scaled new heights and their confidence grows each week. My hands were sweating just watching the video!
Our busiest night on Wednesday with 33 children all making the most of our wonderful grounds in the October sunshine, plus chocolate and popcorn for tuck, followed by FIFA 17, pool, table football and ping pong.
A huge thank you to Bree, Andrew and Harrison for joining in with Pottery and Ceramics and Indoor Games on Thursday. The children really do appreciate all your efforts.
Girls Club enjoyed another night of fun. This week, a walk around the grounds in bobble hats and wellies topped off with hot chocolate and marshmallows. I am seriously thinking of joining this club!
Boarding Birthday wishes to Beatrice (Form IV).
