Boarders Enjoy Festive Fun
It has been a fun-packed few weeks on the Boarding Wing with lots of festive cheer, including the antics of our very own Elf on the Shelf (see gallery below).
Boys’ Club have certainly impressed us with their eagerness and ingenuity during their scavenger hunts, escape and evasion exercises and many other activities around the School. Well done boys! Mr Frise and Mr McIntosh have had to be quick on their feet to keep up!
Girls’ Club got into the Christmas spirit making cards, decorations and delicious gingerbread houses. All very festive!
In Cookery Club, the children made and decorated wonderful Christmas cakes. I joined them to make my own and have to say Mrs Vaan’s recipe really is a winner.
Our Monday night golfers wore festive clothing for their final outing to the driving range this term. Mr Hopkin and Mr Medwin both thoroughly enjoyed their weekly trip to the range with this group.
Wednesday’s Mystery Madness Club enjoyed making chocolate-covered shortbread (or was it chocolate with shortbread, I’m not too sure!) and chasing around the Mansion in total darkness with walkie talkies (I think they call it Murder in the Mansion!).
Thank you to parents and staff for your support this term – we’ve loved every minute and the children have been a pleasure.
I wish you all a restful break and a very merry Christmas. Roll on 2019!
