Form IV Classics Trip

We stayed in a youth hostel halfway up a very steep hill in Bath, from which we visited The Roman Baths, The Roman Fortress Town of Caerleon in South Wales, Chedworth Roman Villa and The Corineum Museum in Cirencester.

The children learned a lot about Roman religion, bathing habits, food, life in the army and life in the country. We saw some beautifully preserved mosaics and hypercaust systems and the remains of a Roman amphitheatre. There was also a trip to Laser Quest which brought out the inner soldier in more than a few of the children!

Many thanks to our friendly driver Martin from Centurion Travel, and to Mr Medwin, Mr Parsons, Mrs Hern and Gap student, Milly, for coming with us and helping everything run so smoothly.
