Speech Day
On Speech Day we celebrated the achievements of the past year and said goodbye to our 2017 leavers.
We were delighted to welcome Invictus Games athlete and anaesthetist, Dr Jen Warren, as our guest speaker. Dr Warren spoke about how sport has helped her adopt a positive outlook and taught her to enjoy her life. She told the children that while ‘you can’t change what has happened to you, you can change the way you respond to it’ and she encouraged everyone to 'stop and enjoy the present.’
Following her speech, Dr Warren gave out this year's prizes and chatted to parents and governors. There were also wonderful poetry recitations and musical performances by the children.
We congratulate our 2017 prize winners and scholars and wish all our leavers well at their next schools.
