New Headmaster Announcement

The Chairman of the Governors has today announced that Colin MacIntosh has been appointed to succeed Michael Chitty as Head of Ashfold School from September 2018.

Educated at Repton, Colin read English Language and Literature at St Andrews. He started his teaching career in Shrewsbury School and then spent the next 15 years working in Prep Schools. He is currently Deputy Head of Beaudesert Park School – a position he has held since 2012.

Colin has an exceptional teaching pedigree and a real drive for excellence in education. He combines this with strategic vision, great energy and personal warmth. Most importantly, in all the discussions with Colin, there has been a clear meeting of minds about the very exciting opportunities that exist for Ashfold, and the way ahead.

Colin is a keen sportsman playing football, cricket and golf. He is married to Anna and they and their two children (Flora and Sam) are very much looking forward to joining the Ashfold community.
