Ashfold wins Prep Schools' Apprentice Challenge

Ashfold beat five local prep schools to win the Apprentice Challenge at Bloxham School.

Our team of eight excited Form IV entrepreneurs was tasked with designing and marketing a new range of yoghurts.

While the teachers were asked to leave the room, the teams (including children from Winchester House School, St Hugh's, Swanbourne House, Spratton Hall and Bruern Abbey) had to work independently. Our team displayed teamwork skills and enthusiasm for the task in hand. Each member of the team had a clearly designated task and together, they developed strong, creative ideas, completing their marketing plan and posters in good time.

After a lovely lunch and a bit of a run around outside, the children returned, refreshed and ready to film their advertisement. They waited patiently for their turn to present their marketing pitch and showcase their 50 second advert.

The judges were extremely impressed with the Ashfold advert as well as the team’s jokes, teamwork, creativity and particularly their 'bonkers' idea to call their yoghurt 'EXPLODO'!

Ashfold won the Challenge and was awarded the Prep Schools’ Apprentice Challenge trophy. Our team was then treated to a winner's reception of party poppers, cakes and pink fizz! A special day for them all to remember.
