Cross Country Success
Ashfold’s squads put in strong showings at the annual Swanbourne Chase and the Chandlings cross country race.
Undeterred by the wet conditions at Swanbourne, our U11 and U13 boys and girls performed extremely well.
The U11 girls came 7th overall in the team competition and the U11 boys came 9th. Special mentions to Elsie J who came 10th and Harry P who came 14th. Meanwhile, in the U13 team competition, the girls finished in 6th place and the boys in 7th place. Special mentions to JoJo P who came 23rd and Tom S who came 29th.
At Chandlings, our U8 and U9 squads put in superb performances and achieved excellent team results. The U8 boys came 2nd and the U8 girls came 3rd. Special mentions to Annabel L who came 8th and Josh H-S who took 2nd place. Confirmation of the U9 placings is awaited.
It was great to see all our children putting in so much effort – cross country miles are tougher miles than on the track so very well done to all involved.
