Scholars' Club talks careers
The Scholars' Club enjoyed a very informative session on careers with consultant, Mrs Rebecca Wood. It was clear that some club members knew very definitely what they want to be when they are older. Barristers, fashion designers, teachers, vets and even a cartoonist were mentioned.
However, most of the children had not ever thought about a career and Mrs Wood gave them all some basic ideas as to what to think about when choosing a path. Being passionate about your job is obviously a good starting-point, but also possessing characteristics and skills that can help you be good at it.
Mrs Wood stressed that Ashfold gives everyone the opportunity to develop their interests and skills to help them become whatever they want to be.
